The ActivKids PE programme helps schools achieve an inclusive and holistic approach to learning physical education, inspiring all children to love to move and exercise. All ActivKids programmes focus on developing fundamental movement skills so our Foundation and KS1 programmes are perfectly aligned to the National Curriculum.
ActivKids is recognised by the Professional Development Board (PDB), part of the Association of PE (AfPE). As well as delivering PE classes for schools to cover PPA, ActivKids support school staff with CPD opportunities, showing staff how to deliver fun and exciting lessons and supplying example lesson plans.
Our focus is on Imaginative Exercise, using story telling and play to help achieve physical development learning objectives. We have a range of lesson plan templates based on stories from Jack and the Beanstalk to Peppa Pig.
Key Stage 1
We teach fundamental movement skills through active games, recognised exercises and fitness drills. Without being sport specific, our creative exercise ethos appeals to ALL children. Again, our lesson plan templates support the learning of PE National Curriculum Objectives.
Key Stage 2
Multiskills still form the basis of our programme at KS2, and we extend the games learning to include more competition, and further areas such as athletic activities and outdoor and adventurous ideas.
"Highly recommended. I will be passing on details to another setting who may benefit from this training (ActivKids Workshop) "
"Would recommend it as a fun way to get ideas to use with families – as I enjoyed it I think others would too (ActivKids Workshop) "
