ActivKids were recently brought in to run ActivFamilies sessions during Family Learning week in South East London
Wyborne Primary School in New Eltham, South East London, asked ActivKids Leader Chris Eather and his team to deliver ActivFamilies sessions over two-days to KS1 and KS2 children. Over 100 children and their parents and guardians enjoyed ActivKids games and activities over one-hour sessions in the school playground.
This is what the school thought of the sessions;
"ActivFamilies is an unique opportunity for parents to learn how to get fit and learn to play with their children in a unique environment. Based on a variety of well-known sports ActiveFamilies teaches a multitude of skills in a fun and lively way ensuring participation for all ages.
The coaches quickly assess the abilities and needs of the group and cater each session so everyone can achieve. Children as young as two have enjoyed the sessions with grandparents. No two sessions are the same ensuring maximum attendance including hard to reach parents.
I can not speak highly enough of the professionalism and expertise the staff have and would recommend them to any school or establishment who want to address out of hours learning and give families support in a way that they really enjoy"
Two of the participants, Dhillon and Kristin, had their own thoughts on the sessions;
"It was so much fun! Thanks for 8 weeks of workout time" Kristin
"It felt: good, brilliant, good workout, fun!!" Dhillon
