Coaching
Our belief at ActivKids is that the adults or young people working with children is the key to successful junior activities. The roles and responsibilities of a coach, teacher, instructor, leader or supervisor is the difference between children attending an activity or sitting at home playing on their computer. A fantastic programme or engaging equipment is only as good as the adult or young person delivering the activity.
ActivKids help and support all those people who want to make a positive difference in children''s lives and help create a positive influence on children''s health, fitness and well being. Workshops and programme content are available through a variety of channels, including local authorities, school sports partnership leadership academies, and individual schools and colleges.
There is huge amount of government funding available to deliver effective physical activity programmes, and ActivKids can help coaches access this funding for programmes. Overt he years we have received thousands of pounds of funding for our ActivKids programmes and we want to show the best coaches how to do this.
We also have a franchise network of ActivKids Leaders and ActivKids coaches who currently deliver ActivKids programmes to over 2500 children every week. We want to work with the best and ensure that these Leaders and coaches are doing what they are extremely talented in; helping kids enjoy physical activity!
